A Golden Day

Twill on a golden winter afternoon
We had a lovely sunny, but cool, day on the coast today. I spent the day working on this blog and photographing all of my finished paintings outside in high resolution. I am pleased to say I can now offer prints of my paintings for sale!
Note: I originally had a badge from Imagekind here but it wasn't showing up on some devices so, I created a collage at picmonkey.com and included a link to my Imagekind page in the caption.
Click here to visit my Imagekind page to order prints!

I also have a link on the sidebar that will take you to the entire gallery for prints of my work. At the moment, I only have five up as they take a bit of time to upload but I will be putting all of the available 6"x8" paintings up to allow purchase of prints. Larger paintings will probably not be offered in print form. I will have to think about that.
OK, so I removed the word verification from my comments section and was hit with three spam comments today. I also got an e-mail from a cousin saying that he was getting spam e-mails from one of the e-mail accounts that is linked to this blog. ARRRG! I will wait for a few more days but if it continues, I may have to put the word verification back up again. In the meantime, if you get an email from me and are not expecting one or it has funny things in the subject line and links, please do not open it and just delete it! I am going to take a look at a few other measures.
After spending the day working on all of this stuff I will definitely need a day out to paint.

R.L. this looks great! I'm using the simple template too but mine looks nowhere near this good.

Thanks Theresa G. I am afraid I love to tinker and tweak. I pretty much change every element I can change on both my blog and website.I have a bit more of that to do on Imagekind this morning too!

R.L., I'm really impressed with the look of both your blog and website.I'm afraid I have very little tweaking talent myself. How did you create the you might also like boxes and links on the bottom of the blog? Are they gadgets that you create in the layout? I also looked on the bottom of your website for who hosts it and there was no identifier in the footer. Nice! But I'm curious who you went with for your website.

Hi Theresa, if you look very carefully at the three little thumbnails at the bottom of the post, beneath the right one there is a very faint, light gray word that says linkwithin. Click on it and it will take you to the site where you can enter your own info, get the code and drop it in. They have instructions on the page for a few blogging platforms I believe.
As for my webhost, it is through Canvas Dreams which is a local (Portland, OR) based host that is environmentally friendly (this is Oregon) I use iWeb to build my website. I used one of their templates and tweaked the heck out of it. Trust me, it looks nothing like it did in the beginning! I love iWeb but if I had to use a different web builder I would go with Weebly.com. They have a free version or another one for a reasonable price and it is easy to use, just a bit harder to tweak things in, but possible. Hope this helps! -Renee

Thanks Renee! What I would give to live in an environmentally conscious state!I looked at Weebly and liked them but eventually decided to go with FASO. Your paintings are looking great!

Thanks Theresa. I like FASO the best myself but I couldn't afford it at this time. I guess I put it out of my mind. It is indeed an excellent one. Thankfully for me I can build one on my own. I will have to remember to include FASO in any future recommendations.
